Boo was Simon's favourite teddy bear. Simon took him everywhere. Boo sat next to him at mealtimes and played with him all day. And Simon always took Boo to bed with him.
But one night, Simon forgot all about Boo. This is what happened.
Simon had had a very busy day. He and Boo had been to playschool in the morning and after dinner, they had gone swimming with Mum. Boo had only watched, of course! When they got home, Simon took Boo for a walk in the garden in his doll's buggy. He strapped him in safely so he wouldn't fall out.
Just then, Mum called that tea was ready. Simon was starving so he raced in at once —without Boo.
Soon it was bedtime. Dad read Simon some stories and then tucked him up. Nobody noticed that Boo was missing. And so poor Boo was left sitting outside in the garden.
At first he didn't mind.
